During the first four-month period of this year, the project consortium is meeting at VIAS facilities on a regular basis, with regard to data collection under action C1 “Monitoring of the environmental impact of the project actions”. The objective is to monitor the effectiveness of technical actions B1 to B3 regarding to the environmental problem targeted: the high environmental impact, in terms of carbon and water footprints, in the process of railway infrastructure construction and the need for a solution to minimize it.
The identification and quantification of all the input and output flows related to this action, and the evaluation of several interesting indicators, are under development.
